Jana Latham, Firefly Arts and Arctic Rose Gallery
Jana owns Artic Rose Gallery which is located at 420 L St and carries over 70% local artists. Jana also runs Firefly Artisan Co-op, across the street from Artic Rose. The Co-op represents over 20 local artists. Originally from Florida, Jana followed her husband to Alaska and has lived here for 9 years. She enjoys photography and making jewelry.
Cari Zawodny, Virtu Gallery
Cari owns Virtu, A Gallery of Fine & Functional Art, along with her mother, Lori Boltz. Virtu is located at 400 W. 4th Ave. near the corner of 4th & D. The gallery represents dozens of local contemporary artists in a wide variety of mediums ranging from jewelry to metal sculpture, painting to fiber art. Virtu also features pieces from around the world, blending the owners’ love of travel with a passion for promoting Alaska artists. With a background in film, theatre & photography, Cari loves having the opportunity to put these skills to work at Virtu. Cari shares her life & work with her husband, Joe, their 5 year old son, & their infant daughter.
Becky Stephan, Stephan Fine Arts Gallery
Stephan Fine Arts Gallery features local, national, and international artists. Originals, limited edition prints, and giclees, sculpture, Native arts, art glass, and fine jewelry are displayed in their two downtown Anchorage locations: the corner of 5th & K Street and inside the Hotel Captain Cook.
